Hello everyone! No recipe this Easter Monday. Not that I'm particularly lazy on this public holiday (well, maybe a little...) but mostly because my creation was much prettier than it was tasty.
I tried a new brioche recipe that didn't rise at all. But since it looked really pretty on the table and I quite like my photo, I decided to share it with you anyway! The flower brioche concept is truly beautiful and I'll make it again sometime with a more classic recipe (luckily it was just for decoration!).

For dessert, my Mum had made a chocolate egg that looked incredibly real, set on a meringue base and served with cigarettes russes. The egg was filled with a wonderfully light cream and fromage blanc mixture. Being the foodie I am, I think next time I'll try it with a vanilla whipped ganache (definitely less light, mind you!), but it was perfect after a hearty family meal. And those cigarettes russes — an absolute delight!
In any case, I had a wonderful time with my family and I hope the same for all of you. Wishing you a very Happy Easter.
